On Akshay Kumar’s The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Again Kapil Sharm’s No-Show

Last time, Kapil Sharma was being back on his own usual behavior and was thinking about the new show with his old colleague and friend Sunil Grover. After taking a long break from television made a comeback on Salman Khan hosted show “Big Boss 11”. The comedian and actor could however not make it to the show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” aired on Star Plus where Akshay Kumar is the super judge. Kapil Sharma previously kept all the guests waiting coming on his show “The Kapil Sharma Show” for quite long. But, this time he left the team of Akshay Kumar’s show disappointed with no-show.

The Akshay Kumar’s show has Zakir Khan, Hussain Dalal and Mallika Dua as mentors on the show while Akshay Kumar is the super judge.

A source close to the production team said, “Last night, Kapil confirmed that we would be coming, and hence the shoot was planned.” The team of the great Indian Laughter Challenge waited for quite some time for Kapil Sharma but when they saw him getting late they decided to start the show thinking he would join them later.” Later the team was informed that Kapil is not well and he won’t be able to come for the shoot. Kapil had earlier also cancelled a couple of shoots of his own show “The Kapil Sharma Show” that were scheduled with actors like Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgan.

Once a famous TV personality Kapil Sharma witnessed a drastic downfall after his fight with his friend and co-star on the show Sunil Grover. The show’s popularity dipped, which pushed him towards alcoholism and he also had panic attacks frequently. As advised by the doctors, Kapil spent some time in the rehab center and Sony Entertainment Television also stopped airing his new episodes. Although the team of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge was disappointed by Kapil Sharma not turning up for the show, they were also concerned about his health. The team wishes for his speedy recovery.

It was reported in earlier September that Kapil had left the rehab center 20 Days before his scheduled date to complete the shooting of his upcoming movie “Firangi”. A close friend said, Kapil has given up drinking completely and has become as sober as he was.

There has been no announcement yet about when Kapil’s show will be back on TV. He is looking forward to his new release Firangi hitting the big screen on November 24.
